Can there be poetry after 11 September? This is a question which primarily confronted New York artists. The duo Elaine and Basinski (represented at last year’s festival with their Trailer for 1000 Films) made a melancholy video in three parts, of which the first and last part only consist of meditative observations of water. The middle part follows the footsteps of New Yorkers near Ground Zero.
