Since the foundation of his company Frame Graphics, Tanaka Hideyuki has been in the forefront of the contemporary artistic renaissance of the creative industry in Japan, that can be likened to the birth of digital production and is fed by forever innovating technologies. Tanaka has designed for the fashionable clothing label Superlovers, made titles for major Japanese TV stations, 3D animations and illustrations and music videos and commercials. His broad talent is expressed in the promos for house/techno DJ Inchino Takkyu, the 'slo-mo tension' of Polynasia and zombie kitsch of Anna for the electro-pop band Denki Groove (Ichino Takkyu and Pierre Taki), the futuristic anime of Nothing Gonna Change band in UA's atmospheric Private Surfer. Tanaka strives for high-quality and imaginative products filled with unusual humour. Both references to anime and manga and international influences can be seen in his recent music videos for Shingo Mama, a transvestite played by one of Japan's greatest idols.
