Urban Feedback Tokyo is the second Urban Feedback CD-ROM by the British designer Giles Rollestone. Again it focuses on the contemporary urban environment, this time Tokyo, seen from the distant London perspective. The interface of the CD-ROM has been developed around the metaphor of 'the city' and the experience, form and structure of Tokyo. The result is an atmospheric CD-ROM which evokes the experience of fragmentary daily life by the rapid alternation of video images, photos, text and sounds of Tokyo. The city is divided into five spaces (the four wind directions and the centre) each having its own chaos of images, sounds and fragments of conversations. By going from screen to screen and from space to space, as a user you also create your own unique soundtrack (based on the number of times that you used the mouse).
