Made In Sarajevo

Programme of six films by young directors from Bosnia-Herzegovina, who have had their first chance to make a film since the war ended. During the third Sarajevo Film Festival (1997) a fund was raised to set up local film production. The main activity was to chose eight projects that were put forward for production. In this way the young film-makers could become involved with European film developments and more than two hundred people, in front of and behind the camera, could get back to work.The Man Who Has Exchanged His Home for a Tunnel is a documentary about a house in which was the entrance to a tunnel that was the only way out of the besieged city. The End of Unpleasant Times is a love story with old people. Trip to the Moon looks at a tramp who claims he is a lawyer. We Light the Night is a documentary on twin brothers during the post-war Ramadan. Syndrome is about two kids who get violent in the tram after a night in the disco.
