Occularis: Herbalizer and The Light Surgeons

The Herbaliser, aka Jake Wherry and Ollie Trattles, provide a two-hour show with lighting and images by The Light Surgeons. In 1995 the début album Remedies by The Herbaliser appeared on Ninja Tune, a London record label founded in 1990 and a trendsetter in jungle music. The Herbaliser made Hiphop without rap. Their love of beats and jazzy sounds is most notable. The Light Surgeons do with images what today's bands do with sound. They take their influences and samples from pieces of film, mix them and create something new. They have added pictures to many London club nights. Dynamic Syncopation is a DJ collective that will function as lubricant for the whole act during the show.
