Seven young people spend a weekend in a country house to make a horror video. What should have been a cheerful and creative trip turns into a grim and eventually dramatic clash between the different characters. It starts with jealousy, but when their lofty Celtic film fantasy doesn't take off and the occasional film-makers start using drugs to inspire themselves, their communion acquires a different dimension. Recriminations are made back and forth about the incorporation of autobiographical elements and it slowly becomes apparent that those present have come to the mansion for very different reasons than to make a video. Campion has paid meticulous attention to finding the right actors and intensive coaching; she wanted to portray the present self-confident and ambitious younger generation as accurately and securely as possible.
