This is the first film production ever in which an Arab director works on Israeli soil with a partly-Israeli crew. The first time that artists, technicians, Israelis, Palestinians. Tunisians and West-Europeans (Theo van de Sande was cameraman) worked together for so long. It is the story of a French reporter trying to find an answer to his dilemma: he is in love with a Jewish boy and feels involved in the dramatic fate of a Palestinian family. In other words, he sees himself confronted with uncertain times and the harsh reality of Israel.
