A weird and original story about a vendetta within an Italian family. Machinations in this family obviously reflect the chaotic political and economic situation in present-dayItaly. The way in which Bigoni films the family quarrels is reminiscent of the heyday of Italian cinema. The brothers Tonio and Bruno Strano live with their respective families in a large and once-stately mansion. After the death of their father, the long-smouldering quarrel between the two brothers and their families erupts. A small-scale civil war is then fought out between the Stranos. The family firm specialises in trading and restoring antique furniture. Tonio and Bruno each continue the business in his own way and compete with each other to the death, no holds barred. The only part of the house the families are still forced to share is the kitchen, which is therefore often the family battlefield. The brothers formally lead the sides, but their wives play leading roles. One day Bruno disappears. There is only a trail of blood. The accusing finger is soon pointed at Tonio and he disappears into jail. But is he guilty? And where is Bruno's corpse?
