Fong Sai-Yuk II was shot within a year of the success of part one and is the sequel to the comic adventures of Fong in 18th-century China. He joins the anti-imperial Red Flower Society. He has to filch a secret document and when he finally manages, after botching it once, he finds out that Fong’s leader is really the emperor’s brother. Then all hell breaks loose.Fong Sai-Yuk II offers a balanced combination of comedy and action, with a splendid finale: a huge fight on a pyramid of stools. The role of Fong’s dominant mother is played by Josep¡hine Siu, who steals the show.
