An original, crazy and funny film in which a man wearing a monkey mask turns up in all kinds of insane and burlesque situations. Tyt conforms to the unfettered, exuberant and Dadaistic climate which characterises a part of the contemporary Russian avant-garde (also beyond the bounds of film). The film has been described as a 'psycho-philosophical pamphlet' in which a ritual dance is performed on the ruins of a technological civilization. But these are very serious words for a film which primarily startled with its bizarreness and its original humour. It is both performance art and slapstick à la Russe.
