Simple and original film about film. Brujaille made a portrait of the great Bresson in a nicely indirect yet significant way. The only people we hear are actresses, or to use Bresson's terminology, female 'models'. Bresson's oeuvre is examined chronologically; each 'model' talks about her experiences on a specific film. This approach provides a fragmented yet multi-faceted portrait of the master. The women describe their personal experiences while the film was being made and the influence which the contact with Bresson had on their lives. Bresson worked with non-professional actors, so making this film was a special contact with a different world.Interprètes de Bresson has been made with rigid framing, tying in nicely with the work of Bresson himself. Brujaille created the rigid simplicity to focus on the words, the voices of the women.
