Late Nights in Lobby A x IFFR: Tampopo
IFFR and the Groot Handelsgebouw are cooking up something good. From July to September, you’re invited to a free programme of four films that fuse culinary and cinematic delight – with catering to perfectly complement each film. From ramen in Tokyo to coxinha in São Paulo, pull up a seat and join us for a feast of flavour on film.
With the venue opening an hour before the screening, there’s plenty of time to mingle and enjoy a bite in this iconic Rotterdam location.
About the film

Before food porn was a thing, there was Tampopo. A widow manages a run-down eatery in Tokyo that’s seen better days before a pair of truckers roll into town. Together they take it upon themselves to become the best in town. This sweet, sensual and surreal “ramen western” is simply irresistible. A lavish tribute to taste and desire, both culinary and otherwise.

IFFR x Cinema Islemunda
Join us on Friday 20 March for a new edition of IFFR x Cinema Islemunda. We’re screening the film Whitetail, which recently had its Dutch premiere at IFFR 2026. Filmmaker Nanouk Leopold will introduce the film and participate in a Q&A session afterward.
