Kang Bo
KANG Bo (1983, China) is a Chinese filmmaker who graduated from the Beijing Film Academy. He made his debut feature, a piercing family drama Enjoy Yourself (2024) which was a box office success. His second feature, Blood Ties (2025) premiered in theatres in China. Since 2010, he has been documenting the decline of forest farms in Northeastern China through his documentary project A Touch of Forest. Drawing inspiration from this long-term work, he is now developing his next feature, Kingdom of the Insomniacs, which received the Busan Award at the Asian Project Market in 2024, and support from CineMart 2026.
