Matteo Norzi
Matteo NORZI (1976, Italy) is an artist, filmmaker, writer, and Indigenous rights activist. His debut feature, Icaros: A Vision (2016) (co-directed with Leonor Caraballo), premiered at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival and was praised internationally. Drawing on years of research and engagement with Amazonian cultures, he co-founded and now directs the Shipibo Conibo Center, the organization that brought Sara Flores’s work to the forefront of the international contemporary art scene.
