Francisco Márquez

Francisco MÁRQUEZ was born in Buenos Aires in 1981. He studied at the National Film School, where he currently teaches.
His first documentary feature, Después de Sarmiento (2015), premiered in the official competition of the 27th Rencontres de Toulouse.
La larga noche de Francisco Sanctis (2016), his fiction debut, participated in the 69th Cannes Film Festival (Un Certain Regard), the 64th San Sebastian Film Festival, and was the winner of the 18th BAFICI International Competition.
His latest film, A Common Crime (2020), premiered at the 70th Berlinale in the Panorama section, and it was selected at the BFI Film London and at the 34th Mar del Plata Festival.
