IFFR Pro: Save the dates for 2023

27 October 2022

IFFR is set for a full return from 25 January to 5 February 2023. Its 52nd edition is set to welcome audiences, industry and press back to Rotterdam with the heart of the festival once again at ‘de Doelen’. Attending film industry professionals can take note of some important dates including for the 40th edition of CineMart, Rotterdam Lab and more.

CineMart

The 40th edition of IFFR’s co-production market will take place from Sunday 29 January to Wednesday 1 February. One-to-one meetings and informal networking will take place in person for the first time since 2020.

A new partnership with Coprocity means that updates on selected projects will be made available after the festival on the professional online platform dedicated to film and TV projects presented at select co-production markets.

Pro Hub & Reality Check

The Pro Hub team welcomes industry guests and filmmakers to join panels, workshops and mentor meetings – providing an informal networking environment for the whole filmmaking community from Friday 27 January for the festival’s duration.

Reality Check, IFFR's platform to reflect on and discuss current issues in the film industry, also returns.

Talent

More than 40 IFFR Pro partners from across the globe nominate up-and-coming producers to attend Rotterdam Lab, where they broaden their international networks and develop their skills and knowledge. New participants for 2023 will begin their programme on Saturday 28 January, joined on Monday 30 January by selected graduates from the last two online editions who are invited to Rotterdam to celebrate their achievements and meet in-person with their peers and colleagues.

Other talent activities include hosting the second part of Creative Producer Indaba, a scheme for the professional development of emerging African producers. Selected filmmakers and projects participating on BoostNL will also complete their bespoke programme.
