IFFR KINO
International Film Festival Rotterdam was born in the old LantarenVenster cinema on Gouvernestraat back in 1972. Four decades on and – partly at the same location – IFFR is still proving it is so much more than an annual film festival. Since October 2016, every first Wednesday of the month IFFR KINO presents an evening of film and sidebars, mixing and matching all the unique flavours that go to make up IFFR. In its first season, this comprised a cross-section of unique previews, films that had previously screened at IFFR and odes to our absolute favourite, signature filmmakers. The second season is made up of cult classics that deserve a second viewing.
