Rubén Beltrán, the mythical ‘Viking’ mentioned in the title of the film is the film itself. Beltrán is himself a fictional game, not a character played by him; likewise, the tale puts forward an expression of the truth of an era and a social group. This virtuous circularity between fiction and reality is suggested in a scene in which Beltrán sees himself in a Campusano documentary about biker communities.
Aguirre, a man of motorcycles and guns who is separated from his wife and unable to get over it, enters into Vikingo’s world, a world ordered by the ethics of loyalty and responsibility which reminds us of a good Western film. However, the time of Vikingo and his bikers is about to crash into different models for belonging and different codes of conduct. The confrontation is unavoidable.
