Wiggle

The members of the band Wiggle have never actually met in real life. This year they have recorded their first CD by sending audio files back and forth via the Internet. They also live a long way apart: Aki in Japan, Raphiel in Australia and Jake in the United States. With producer Gil K. and recording engineer Yasuhiko Terada they compose exciting techno-pop. During the festival they will give two performances . Aki and Jake will be in Rotterdam (but won't meet), Raphiel will join in on the Internet, along with several guest musicians, including the well-known Japanese techno-musician K.I. 'The show isn't complete without the Internet', according to Gil K. 'We shall show that physical presence is not necessary to make a groove.' The Japanese video artist Ikunishi will perform as VJ and there will be a special guest performance and collaboration with Atau Tanaka of Sensorband. (http://www.unsound.com/Wiggle)
