In this series John Maeda combines his two great passions: the printed and digital media. The result is four extremely elegant digital booklets. The Reactive Square, inspired by the Russian Suprematist Malevich who scrapped all the frills in favour of the simplest of forms, consists of no more than a black square in and with which little things keep happening. The title of Flying Letters is apt: letters that move across the screen and dive down across each other in an charming way. 12 O'Clocks is a collection of clocks, made up of figures and forms that move through space and illustrate the idea of dynamic communication. TTW is made up of letters that come up, disappear, multiply and move to the beat of an old-fashioned typewriter.
