Alain Tanner

Alain Tanner (1929, Geneva) studied economics and founded with Claude Goretta the Ciné-Club Universitaire. He also made his first shorts films with Goretta. He worked for two years at the British Film Institute and, after his return to Switzerland, he made about fifteen TV reports and several short films before making features.
