Rutger Zuydervelt

Rutger ZUYDERVELT (1978, The Netherlands) is a graphic designer and started working as Machinefabriek in 2004. His music combines elements of ambient, modern classical, drone, noise and field recordings, to create ‘films without image’. Influences include Fennesz, Godspeed You! Black Emperor and especially Oren Ambarchi. More and more, he is involved in art projects, like dance pieces, films and sculptures. At IFFR 2008 he performed a live soundtrack for the films of John Price under the title Intermittent Movements. He lives and works in Rotterdam.
