      Artist, curator, media and art theorist Peter WEIBEL (1944-2023, Ukraine) grew up in Austria and studied literature, film, mathematics, medicine and philosophy in Vienna and Paris. He taught at several educational institutions including the University for Applied Arts Vienna, College of Art and Design in Halifax, Canada and at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Weibel received various awards, among which the Käthe-Kollwitz-Price, the Trebbia Award and the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.
