Max Zihlmann

Max ZIHLMANN (1936-2022, Switzerland) was a Swiss screenwriter and author. After studying law for three semesters in Zurich, he commenced his film studies at the London School of Film Technique in 1958. There, he wrote his first short film The Thief (1958) which is part of the official IFFR 2024 Cinema Regained programme. During his career, he worked as an editor and wrote children's books and film critiques.He also wrote a number of scripts for TV series and published his novel Ikonen weinen nicht (2021).
