Fatih Akin
Fatih AKIN (1973, Hamburg) originally wanted to be an actor and played several minor roles in TV and film productions. He studied film at Hamburg art academy. His first short film, Sensin-Du bist es!, appeared in 1995 and marked the start of a productive and successful career as a scriptwriter and director. Since 2002, he has also been a producer; his company is called Corazón International. His film Head-on (2004) won a Golden Bear in Berlin and the European Film Award.
