Kamu onna

Favorite film by Kumashiro. When Katsu returns after five years absence to his home village, he becomes involved with the female owner of the local cinema.

Koibito tachi wa nureta

Poet spends his days in the company of prostitutes. He believes these decadent experiences will improve his poetry.

Modorigawa

Law student and tutor Eto Kenichiro becomes involved with pupil Tomiko, but leaves her in the lurch because he has to marry his cousin.

Seishun no satetsu

Tokyo 1918: different characters share different love nights. Geishas are dragged along in ecstasy, or occasionally flooded by melancholy.
