Press accreditation 2024

Press accreditation provides you with access to:

• The full IFFR 2024 film programme (excluding certain special events), including Talks and Art Directions 
• Press & industry screenings
• An online video library (geoblocked to Rotterdam)
• Press welcome drinks and networking opportunities 
• Support from the press desk for your coverage, including interview arrangements and interpreters

The fee for an IFFR 2024 press accreditation is €50. Please read the requirements and guidelines below carefully before applying for accreditation. 

Get your accreditation

Accreditations are now only available in-person at the Accreditation Desk in 'de Doelen', located on the ground floor on your right as you enter the main hall. 

If you received a personal invitation, you can still submit the form contained within the email. Please use the link in the invitation.

If you have visited IFFR before, you should expect to receive your personal invitation for IFFR 2024.

First time press accreditations

First-timers who want press accreditation should create an account. Please note that an accreditation request does not guarantee accreditation. If approved, you will receive an official invitation by email to attend IFFR as accredited press.

Accreditation requirements and participation guidelines

During the online accreditation process, you will be asked to upload supporting documents. Please find the requirements for different types of press below.

1. Printed media

• Name, address, phone number, personal email address;
• Information about your affiliated company: company name, editor-in-chief, phone number, email address, periodicity, circulation, website;
• Official confirmation letter (PDF) from your editor-in-chief on company letterhead specifying the type, extent and publication date of the planned coverage at IFFR;
• Recent coverage of IFFR (for returning journalists) or coverage of other film festivals or film-related publications (for first-timers) in the assigned medium, signed with your name;
• If applicable, provide the same for other affiliations for which you want to cover IFFR.

2. Online press

• Name, address, phone number, personal email address;
• Information about your affiliated company: company name, editor-in-chief, phone number, email address, number of unique visitors per month and number of page views per month;
• Official confirmation letter (PDF) from your editor-in-chief on company letterhead specifying the type, extent and publication date of the planned coverage at IFFR;
• Recent coverage of IFFR (for returning journalists) or coverage of other film festivals or film-related publications (for first-timers) for the assigned medium, signed with your name;
• If applicable, provide the same for other affiliations for which you want to cover IFFR.

3. Radio and television

• Name, address, phone number, personal email address;
• Information about your affiliated company: network/company name, editor-in-chief, phone number, email address, and information about the programme (periodicity, scheduling, broadcasting area, audience numbers, website);
• Official confirmation letter (PDF) from your editor-in-chief on company letterhead specifying the type, extent and publication date of the planned coverage at IFFR. Please specify the name(s) and function(s) of all crew members that will accompany you;
• Recent coverage of IFFR (for returning journalists) or coverage of other film festivals or film-related publications (for first-timers) for the assigned medium, signed with your name;
• If applicable, provide the same for other affiliations for which you want to cover IFFR.

4. Press photographer

• Name, address, phone number, personal email address;
• Information about your affiliated company: company name, name of editor-in-chief, phone number, email address, periodicity, circulation, website;
• Official confirmation letter (PDF) from your editor-in-chief on company letterhead specifying the type, extent and publication date of the planned coverage at IFFR. Please specify the name(s) and function(s) of all crew members that will accompany you;
• Three recent press clippings of photos copyrighted by the photographer and/or the agency;
• If applicable, provide the same for other affiliations for which you want to cover IFFR.

5. Press agency

• Name, address, phone number, personal email address;
• Information about your affiliated company: company name, name of editor-in-chief, phone number, email address, website;
• Official confirmation letter (PDF) from your editor-in-chief on company letterhead specifying the type, extent and publication date of the planned coverage at IFFR.
• Three recent film-festival or film related press clippings signed with your name and/or the agency;
• If applicable, provide the same for other affiliations for which you want to cover IFFR.

Please note:

• Accredited journalists are expected to announce and cover the festival in their affiliated medium;
• Please send your published IFFR 2024 coverage to [email protected] as soon as possible. Renewal of accreditation is based, in part, on the receipt of your coverage;
• Press accreditation for IFFR is entirely at the discretion of the Press Office.
• Please keep us updated via [email protected] on any changes in your affiliation or address. This way we can make sure you receive your press accreditation form in time and at the appropriate address.
