IFFR 100

50 Posters from the Past

In 1972, Evert Maliangkay designed the poster for the very first IFFR. Now, fifty festivals later, we can look back on a rich series of at least as many posters. In celebration of this special bicentenary, we have delved into the archives and found every single one of these special poster designs. From the first poster, via the tigerheads of ‘’Hard Werken’’ and the jumping tiger of Max Kisman to the tiger of 75B. What did the first-ever festival logo look like, back in ’87? What was IFFR’s style at the turn of the millennium? And how has the IFFR tiger morphed through the years?
