Not long after that, he coming into contact with Patelar, a degenerate and fickle landowner who will not leave him alone. The man rapes Omana. Thommi feels deeply humiliated, but his will to survive takes precedence over his fury. Patelar gives him a job as waiter and one evil day he becomes an accomplice to the crimes committed by Patelar. Thommi's impotence eventually leads to him complete capitulation to Patelar.
