At the turn of the century, three people met on an ocean liner. The young girl Lillian, the engineer Carter and the policeman Simons. Simons is after Carter to arrest him for murder, but when they meet, they are not aware of each other's identity. Later, when the three are in the sea, with lifejackets on, a strange love story develops. Lillian falls in love with Carter and flirts with him, while it is clear that Simons desires her. The waves carry them to a deserted ship. In this vessel they find wine and are overcome by wild passion, which eventually results in violence to the girl and the death of Carter. But it may all be a dream by Lillian, who longs for love, adventure and passion. Viktor Aristov died in 1994, before he could complete the film, and Yuri Mamin took over the work.
