Ville Suhonen
Still: Children of War and PeaceVille SUHONEN (1964, Finland) is a film director, screenwriter and author. He studied history of art and theatre studies at University of Helsinki and after graduating in 1988 he worked as a film and culture critic for the student magazine Ylioppilaslehti for a couple of years. Suhonen’s films have been screened at various film festivals. Seamstress (2015) won the Jussi Prize for best documentary film and the State Prize for Public Information, Tale of the Forest (2012) was awarded the Environmental Prize of the Year. He has published multiple books including the novelisation of his film Tommy and the Wildcat (1998).
