Stefaan Decostere

Stefaan DECOSTERE (1955, Belgium) studied directing at the National Film School RITS in Brussels. From 1979 until 1998, he directed and produced documentaries for the Flemish Belgian Television (the former BRTN). His programmes on video art, dance and technology aim to establish a critical platform for discussing the impact of media on our daily lives. His work has also been shown at a variety of film festivals. In addition, Decostere builds installations based on the films he has made for television. Together with Margit Tamás, he started Cargo in 1998.
