Solveig NORDLUND (1943, Sweden) was born in Stockholm and studied Art and Languages at the University of Stockholm, and Film in Paris. She began her career as an assistant director and editor, working on films by Manoel de Oliveira, Alberto Seixas Santos and João César Monteiro, among others. As one of the founders of Grupo Zero, she was part of several collective films made during the period after the 1974 revolution that saw the end of a decades long fascist dictatorship. Nordlund's films have been screened and awarded at prestigious international film festivals in Locarno, Rome, Mar del Plata, Rotterdam, Montréal, São Paulo, New York and Gothenburg.
