Pedro Pinho

Pedro PINHO (1977, Portugal) studied at the Cinema and Theatre School of Lisbon and at the ENS Louis-Lumière in Paris. In 2006 he completed the post-graduate courses of Directing and Screenwriting of the London Film School at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. In 2008 he co-directed the documentary feature Door of Ceuta with Frederico Lobo, which won the Marseille Esperance Award at FID Marseille. In order to support the promotion and producing of new Portuguese filmmakers, he co-founded the company Terratreme in 2009. Pinho's first long feature The Nothing Factory (2017) won the FIPRESCI prize at Directors’ Fortnight in Cannes.
