Panu Aree
Still: The Cursed LandPanu AREE (1973) began his career as a sound recordist for Thai film productions before directing several short films. His talent for storytelling was acknowledged by the Yamagata Documentary Film Festival. Together with Kong RITHDEE he has developed multiple cinematic works, such as Baby Arabia (2010) and GADDAFI (2014), that discuss Muslim identity in Thailand. The Cursed Land (2024) will have its world premier at IFFR 2024.
