Mauro Mazzocchi

Producer and filmmaker Mauro MAZZOCCHI (Italy) studied philosophy and theatre studies, and has collaborated with his partner Yosr Gasmi on two films. They co-directed, wrote and produced I Want to Go Mad, Raving Mad - L.E.N.Z (2016) and released it independently. The film screened at FIDMarseille in 2017. They were inspired to make their documentary Geology of Separation (2023) to raise awareness about migration, stemming from those who perished trying to cross snow-covered mountains between Italy and France. The film is selected for IFFR 2023.
