Mariana de Melo

Producer and director Mariana DE MELO is based in Minas Gerais, Brazil. She has been part of a number of film projects in Brazil among which are The Edge of Democracy (2019, Petra Costa) and Faraway Song (2022, Clarissa Campolina). Del Melo co-founded the Piranha Filmes film production company where she acts as a producer for projects selected for Brasil Cine Mundi 2022 and Nuevas Miradas 2022. The Silence of Iron (2024) is her directorial debut and selected for IFFR 2024.
