Lea Hartlaub

At the age of fourteen, director, cinematographer and editor Lea HARTLAUB (1981, Germany) received her first SLR camera and began to experiment with analogue photography. It was during her four year stay in the UK that she explored filmmaking on a self-taught basis. She attended the Academy of Media Arts Cologne and holds a diploma in photography and media and a postgraduate diploma in film and media arts. Hartlaub also creates video installations and her approaches range from essayistic to conceptual.
