Helvio Soto

Helvio SOTO (1930-2001, Chile) was a Chilean filmmaker and was considered one of the most important artists during the 1960s. He migrated from Chile and worked as an assistant on film sets in Argentina. Soto's first film was influenced by neorealistic themes and his perceptions of society. In 2024, IFFR screens his La triple muerte del tercer personaje (1979).
