Edgar G. Ulmer

Edgar George ULMER (1904, Olmütz - 1972) was born in Moravia (now known as the Czech Republic). In Europe, he worked a long time with Fritz Lang and W.F. Murnau, and was co-director of Menschen am Sonntag. After fleeing the Nazis, he worked in Hollywood for Universal Studios, from which he was later fired. He went on to make numerous low-budget B-movies.
