Donald Brittain

Donald Brittain (1928, Ottawa - 1989, Montreal) was one of the worlds most prominent documentary makers. He studied at Queen's University in Kingston and worked as crime reporter. From 1955 to 1968 he worked for the National Film Board of Canada and made his most memorable films, including Bethune and Memorandum. Don Owen (1934, Toronto) studied anthropology and worked from 1960 for the National Film Board. He has made several (television) films.
