Dutch filmmaker David-Jan Bronsgeest (1986, The Netherlands) attended the Toneelacademie Maastricht and the Film Actors Academy Amsterdam before he began to direct films himself. His first documentary Her Cinema Love (2012) was nominated for Best Short Documentary at the Hot Docs Festival Canada. His third-year fiction film BLINDRUNNERS (2014) gained a nomination for Best International Short at FICMO 2015 Ottawa. Bronsgeest is part of the film production company Hazazah. For Broker (2015) he was awarded the Tuschinski Award.
