Damjan KOZOLE (1964, Slovenia) is an acclaimed filmmaker who made his first feature at the age of 22. His low-budget debut, The Fatal Telephone (1986), was one of the first independent films made in the former Yugoslavia. His film Spare Parts (2003) was nominated for a Golden Bear at Berlin International Film Festival 2003, while he won Best Director at Karlovy Vary IFF for Nightlife (2016). His documentary hybrid Pero (2023) was selected for IFFR 2023.
