Dalton Trumbo

Dalton Trumbo (1905-1976, Colorado) was a newspaper reporter and editor before starting to work as a scriptwriter in 1935. In 1947 he was blacklisted but continued to write screenplays which were filmed under assumed names. Trumbo was one of the best scriptwriters Hollywood ever had. His achievements include Spartacus and Exodus. His screenplay for Irving Rapper's The Brave One was given an Oscar.
