Event

Year round 2023

IFFR and Library Rotterdam will screen the short film Grandeloge Filantropia (2023) together with filmmaker Bouba Dola on Saturday 6 January 2024 at 14.00. This is a free event. Bring a neighbour or a friend and experience the beauty of Rotterdam, also on the cinema screen!

About Grandeloge Filantropia
When the western world is about to collapse because of fear, inequality, misogyny, xenophobia, narcissism and other disruptive forces, a secret Surinam based society comes to action. The apathy of the future western generations can only be nullified by letting the blood of the petty kids boil again. Therefore the cult sends their prodigy child Tjon Rockon, a former graffiti artist, to the Netherlands to rescue civilisation through the method of self-cancelling and performative rituals.

The screening of Grandeloge Filantropia is accompanied by an activity in which participants will learn how to develop and edit their own stories.

The workshop will be given in Dutch. The film is in Dutch, English and Sranan Tongo with English subtitles. There’s a limited capacity, so please reserve your seats before through the link below.
