Sophie Roudaut
Sophie Roudaut is a film producer based in Paris. She holds a degree from the Master D2A program (Law, Economics, and Film & TV Management) at the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and has pursued film production courses at the Tisch School of the Arts of New York University. With a diverse background, she gained valuable industry experience working with various film companies, including roles at French distributor Wild Bunch Distribution and in the international sales departments of SND (M6 group) and Upside (Havas group/Canal+). Prior to founding Le Grand Saut Productions, Sophie collaborated with French producer Saïd Ben Saïd for five years at SBS Productions. During her time there, she played a role in the production, distribution, and sales of notable films such as Paul Verhoeven's Benedetta, Ira Sachs's Passages, Hafsia Herzi's Good Mother, and Kleber Mendonça Filho & Juliano Dornelles’ Bacurau, among others. Since 2018, Sophie has served as an annual lecturer in the Audiovisual Industries Master program at Paris 8 University. Additionally, she has been a member of CNC's film commissions since September 2021.
Le Grand Saut Productions - France
Le Grand Saut Productions was established in July 2022 by French producer Sophie Roudaut. The company produced the latest short film directed by Nathalie Giraud, Any Port in a Storm, which was finalised in the fall of 2023. Le Grand Saut Productions specialises in developing and producing projects with a compelling vision, guided by a strong authorial voice covering various genres, including drama or comedy. The company produces films from established directors like Mehdi Ben Attia, Sou Abadi, and Sophie Reine, as well as supporting emerging talents like French photographer Yann Rabanier and German director Ella Cieslinski in their debut features.
