Renán Zelada Cisneros

Renán Zelada Cisneros (b. 1993) is a composer specialized in music for visual media such as film, TV, and theatre. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and a Master’s Degree in Composing for Film, a joint program between the Amsterdam Conservatory and the Netherlands Film Academy.

Renán collaborates regularly with filmmakers both in the Netherlands and abroad. He has worked in both fiction films and documentaries such as A View From Above (Dylan Werkman, 2020), Harmonia (Thom Lunshof, 2020), and Nicki (Saman Haghighivand, 2020). In 2020, during the Keep an Eye Festival in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, the film Harmonia was awarded with the Topkapi Best Fiction Film Award. That same year, the film was awarded a Wildcard Award at the Netherlands Film Festival. During the same festival, the film A View From Above received the Pathé Tuschinski Award for the Best Film. Nicki premiered at the 2020 Trondheim Pride and will be streamed at the Nukhu Festival (New York City, USA) and the For Rainbow International Film Festival (Brazil).
