Zako Heskiya

Zako HESKIYA (1922, Turkey - 2006, Bulgaria) was a Bulgarian film and TV director. Heskiya came to international attention with his film Gorechto Pladne/Torrid Noon (1966). If was the first Bulgarian submission to Cannes. The film was nominated for a Golden Palm. Later he won the special prize of the Moscow International Film Festival for Yo Ho Ho (1981).
