Wu Tian Ming

After working as an actor at the Xi’an Film Studio in the 1960s, WU Tianming (1939, Xi’an) studied directing at the Beijing Film Academy and returned to Xi’an. He became head of the Xi’an Film Studio in 1983, where he nurtured the early works of the Fifth Generation directors. After living in Los Angeles in the 1990s, Wu returned to China and continues to make films today.
