Vita Soul Wilmering

Vita Soul WILMERING (1996, Netherlands) lives and works in Amsterdam. Starting her projects from a basis in documentary film, Wilmering works with video, installation art and music. From 2014 until 2018, she studied film at the School of Arts (KASK) in Ghent and followed courses at the Conservatory and Drama department. From 2019 until 2021, Wilmering was artist-in-residence at De Ateliers, Amsterdam. Through the use of fictional or performative elements, she makes people shift between roles and reality, to visualise questions such as how one reclaims a personal or familial history, embedded in an environment which is constantly ‘under construction’.
